Bookworms: Do you like video games?

Randal Deyarmond: I'm also a bookworm but i play videogames too.Like Ac and Cod and WoW

Marhta Teahan: I hadn't heard that. I'm a book freak and a video game freak. I play mostly RPG's with the occasional shooter. My oldest son, when he was in high school, would read the same books as I would and we would play video games together.

Stevie Kizziar: I have a preference for reading over gaming simply because I'm not particularly good at most of the skills required to game effectively, nor the patience that goes into making a story progress in the game world (a book has never told me that I can't read the next chapter yet because I haven't found all the hidden coins in the previous). However, I definitely don't see the as anymore "unproductive" than reading. When I find a game that catches my interest, especially puzzle games, a play them enthusiastically and I love watching my brother, who is a prolific gamer, play so that I can experience the story of the ga! me without putting in the work. Ultimately, games are simply a different medium of storytelling, and for some stories it's a wholly better medium for them to be experience in (for example, Bioshock Infinite would not have the same sort of weight if it weren't a part of a game series known for its multiple endings).I, for one, have actually spent more time gaming lately than reading, since I've found a couple mind-blowing games: The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, and, currently, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakening (10/10, would recommend for both, if you like Holmes stories, particularly the former)....Show more
