Toshia Metzker: Easily breakable TOYS.
Season Confalone: I do not think you should be criticized for how you feed your child. And I am not. We each need to do what is best for our own child. No, you should not feel guilty. Breast milk is best for your child. And you tried your best. As long as your child is healthy and you are doing your best, that is what is important. take care and congrats on your little one.
Brenton Cornwall: Breastfeeding is not easy and sometimes it is simply impossible. With my first child I thought it is very natural even if I had a lot of pain, sore nipples and my son used to eat night and day constantly and I was exhausted. But with my daughter I am experiencing something extremely painful and frustrating. Shortly she doesn't latch on correctly. I had bleeding nipples when I was still at the hospital. And when I saw some blood coming out of my daughter mouth, I freaked out of course. I saw several lactation consultants ! and I am still trying hard but nothing helps. Now she is 6 weeks and already on nursing strike. I am actually torturing myself and my child. So I pump day and night and I bottle feed her. That requires a lot of time and discipline. I had to supplement because she eats more than what I manage to express. Should I feel guilty?...Show more
Maynard Reevers: Of course not! And not all of us do that! We also have a hard time, so we know the troubles that come up when trying to breastfeed and we want to help, encourage others to keep it up, I know i thank those that pushed me to keep going. Some take that as criticism, but it's not, at least not me.Also, my Best yahoo Bud bottle feeds & she's AWESOME, i Love her, I'd never criticize her choices!!
Keven Woodington: I know the basic things to get for my coming baby like crib, stroller, diapers and other stuff. But what should I get that is not a basic item like the one I mentioned. She's a girl.
Alberto Kozub: B! abies really like classical music, so I bought a Mozart Cube f! or mine- good from birth up!
Jammie Taddei: Baby Einstien's supposed to be good
Nia Monopoli: my baby doesn't like toys. she likes books a lot. i bought some books like " my 1st words" with a lot of pictures. tell him/her a lot. like "this is butterfly", "this is car" etc. eventually she'll know them. when you ask her, she'll points at each picture. my daughter knew it when she was around 6/7 months. eventually, she pointed at the picts and said the name. she did that around 12 months.it really worked for me. now she is 19 months, talk a lot and be able to tell a few words from looking at the book. such as 'the sun is hot!", "baby sleeping", etc... talk to her as much as possible. talk to her like she's an adult. don't treat her like baby who doesn't know anything. babies know and understand many things in fact!i am not sure whether there's any toys that can make babies smart. but i am sure the book works well for me. of course, we have to take efforts to talk ! to them and show them lots of things around us...Show more
Antonia Mogg: Don't feel any guilt! Breastfeeding is great, but sometimes, it's not for you. All you can do is be okay with it, and you'll be fine. People will always have something to say, even if you doing the "right" thing. It sounds as if it would make you and your daughter a lot happier and more full for her if she had some formula, and forget anyone else. That's what's important. ^-^
Beau Starcevic: Taking care of my own baby boy and temp. taking care of twin nepnews all 2 months and running out of formula
Moira Woodrow: You should not feel guilty at all! I had a very similar experience... My baby was born premature and even with the help of the lactation specialist we could not get her to latch. I pumped every two hours and continued to try and latch the baby on constantly until finally at two weeks old she began to latch on, but very weakly. She would "nurse" for an hour on the breast, o! nly to pull off hungry and crying because she was barely drinking anyth! ing and I would have to supplement. Pumping would barely yield a half an ounce at a time so after three months I finally decided that I had given my best effort and started to exclusively formula feed. I am sad, mostly because I miss the bonding, but I am positive I tried everything I could. Honestly I think that most breastfeeding moms really don't criticize the bottle feeding moms and they do understand that breastfeeding does not work for some people no matter how hard they try. But there are a few who go out of their way to make us feel terrible and don't understand that it really hurts. I wish they could understand that latching on does not come easily for every baby and that many women do develop low milk supply because of this. Again please don't feel guilty! More important than whether a baby is breast or formula fed is the love and care that they receive and you are obviously doing a great job!
Houston Venezia: his father and mother
Ayesha Gen! ova: contact your local wic they help moms with children under 5 infant formula usually good start is part of the program also if you need it now call the mother baby unit of your local hospital they always give samples they may help
Angel Klym: You shouldn't feel guilty at all! You TRIED to breastfeed. Breastfeeding is natural and best, but it isn't easy! There comes to a point where you have to do what works for you and your daughter. If that happens to be formula, then so be it. That being said, don't give up yet! She is only 6 weeks old and you are BOTH still learning. Here's a good website that can answer A LOT of breastfeeding questions, www.kellymom.comI hope everything works out!
Esteban Faggett: i heard like red black and white things stimulate thier minds
Barrett Zheng: You can get WIC, the other ladies are right. Here is the link so you can look and see if you qualify.http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/howtoapply/default.htmI certainly wish you the bes! t of luck. There is a special place in heaven for a Mommy tat would tak! e on two more babies!! You are Wonder Woman!! Bless your heart....Show more
Jude Kennelly: You can get some free samples one from the companies that make them. I got some free samples (like a 12 oz size) from Enfamil, Parent Choice etc. They also sent coupon for next purchase of their products.I also receive Similac free formula from my OB when they asked if I use formula. All are samples but it helps here and there a little....Show more
Felicitas Phildor: ok i totally agree w/ you, do you know i've been bashed by moms on here because i had a SIMPLE question about my baby's formula. that is so rude and mean, i bet they wouldnt have said it to my face! but anyways, i dont think it makes a difference what a persons reasons are to formula feed, you shouldnt make them feel belittled or like a bad person making a bad decision. it pisses my off i've just wanted to slap my computer on a few occasions.
Dorine Nurre: If you can't get WIC, you can sign up online w! ith Enfamil and Similac. They will send some formula to your house, along with a bunch of checks to use towards their purchase.
Porfirio Gartland: Research shows it's not the toys that's making the child smart. It's the interaction and examples given when talking/ teaching your child. Give a lot of QUALITY time (quantity doesn't matter as much) since supposedly the first 5 years are important for child development (correct me if im wrong).Good ideas:1. counting clouds in the sky 2. singing a lullaby together3. reading a goodnight book4. doing laundry (learn the colors)5. stacking blocks6. ect...Show more
Maye Delk: Talk to your baby like he/she is an adult. A lot.
Susan Rambo: your attention...he does not need any toys...there is enough safe stuff around the house to explore.
Erica Bottaro: My rule of thumb is to get them at least a month higher than their age.
Lyman Gauld: I do not understand why breast feeding moms criticize bottle feeding mo! ms, maybe they think they are better?? who knows. I had the same probl! em as you, I couldnt get my daughter to latch on, I tried so hard to breast feed her, even did the solely pumping thing but it ended up to be SO much work, I was exhausted, not pumping enough and just miserable so I stopped pumping. I do not think you should feel guilty at all, you tried. One thing I will recommend you to try if you havent already is a nipple shield. They are things that you put over your nipple to help the baby latch on and to prevent it from being so painful. They are sold at drug stores/pharmacies.
Ivan Velazquez: WIC is a great program to get on for free infant formula, aside from that, you can go onto www.similac.com or www.enfamil.com and they will send you free samples of their products as well as checks to save some money on their products. Gerber has a website as well as other baby foods check them out and sign up for their e-mails and they'll send you samples, their samples are very generous, they send the 12oz cans of formula which help! out alot.
Esteban Lyson: You absolutely should not feel guilty. I gave up breastfeeding before I even left the hospital. My nipples were sore, he couldn't latch on to the right one properly, and I was exhausted. I felt really guilty about it, but as soon as I started telling people that I was giving up breastfeeding and going to the bottle, none of them criticized me or tried to get me to go back. They knew I did what I could, and you certainly went above and beyond what I experienced. You are NOT going to be a failure as a mother if you decide to bottle feed. Many women do. How do you think adoptive parents feed their babies?
Hunter Beech: that's a advertising campaign - organic and straightforward. No. No government courses. No inner maximum businesses to boot the formula companies. base line - that is approximately earnings. The formula companies PAY THE well-being facility to distribute the samples in the hopes that most of the mothers will determine to pla! ce their toddlers on the formula for the subsequent 18-24 months. those! tiny samples value pennies. 2 years of bottle feeding a growing to be infant is worth hundreds of greenbacks. the only people who prefer this to proceed are the folk making the earnings. formula companies. the known public of mom's communities, medical doctors, nurses, and experienced mothers would end this prepare on the instant. a techniques, much greater human beings prefer toddlers off formula and on the breast....Show more
Roselee Mczeal: Mobiles when they are infants. All toys that teach something such as toys that have buttons and make sounds like animals, etc. Also, blocks and toys that allow the child to think such as pegs in round or square holes. There's a lot to choose from.
Danette Slotnick: while my now 3 12 months previous and that i began breastfeeding,we struggled lots..it became a three month conflict of having him latched on and staying that way long sufficient to get any food..he could get frusterated and then,I in turn could do the compar! able. I constantly knew i could breastfeed my toddlers and so while my son became born and that i found out how complicated it became,I freaked out. I nursed a solid 6-8 hours out of my day (the rest became needless to say crammed up with diaper differences and domicile projects etc...) and as a result I gave up some months of 'me-time' to make certain my son had the terrific achievable food he ought to...I nursed him till he became 10 months and that i visit deffinently breastfeed my next toddler..i can't think of giving up each and all of the captivating bonding moments I shared with my son. Bottle feeding works greater effectual i assume for some human beings...yet alot of circumstances I see 'excuses' fairly of rather scientific reasons..despite if that is a private decision... And no count number what approach a discern makes use of to feed their toddler it would not have something to do with the affection they have for his or her toddler.
Nikki Sypult: The only ! way I know of is if you're on WIC...(women, infants, and children)...it! 's kind of like food stamps, and you can get on it at your local health department or DHR office. It'll give you help with formula and cereal for babies, and peanut butter, milk, juice, etc for yourself or older kids.
Magda Vandergriend: There is a government program that help feed children under five. WIC ( WOMEN INFANTS AND CHILDREN. Also check with the food stamp office. Also you can check to see if there is a food bank in your area.Call your local churches , go to the Salvation Army. I would beg on the street corner before I let a child go hungry. There is help out there but you have to go after it. Good Luck.
Cristopher Gavalis: Get in touch with WIC.
Todd Stogner: of course you shouldnt feel guilty. You are trying your hardest to give your daughter what she needs. Even if she ends up completely on formula its not going to do her any harm. she has taken all the vital antibodies from your milk already, a happy mum will make a happy baby. What's the! point exhausting yourself and feeling guilty. You need to do what you feel is best and ignore anyone who puts you down!!
Shandi Wedge: WIC, stands for something. i don't know if it all areas. do a search with that. i have no clue what the qualifactions are for it, but used to work in a grocery store and women would come through all the time with WIC checks and get formula, milk, cheese, juice stuff like that.
Hollis Demasters: interaction stimulates them, not the toys.spend time with the kid.
Sherrill Botting: baby book to record all of her milestones. swing ,must have all babies love them, body position-er for baby to keep her on her back while sleeping, destine trust she will get a diaper rash and parents forget to buy it, infant Tylenol for fevers when cant go pick some up at 3 in the morning. you could ask a friend or parent who have kids to go shopping with you that can pick out things you will need. you can email me and i will send you list of ever! y thing you will need. congrats and enjoy, she will grow up fast....Sho! w more
Herma Ellebrecht: Try signing up for WIC or Food Stamps. Both can get formula for you for free. It's kind of hard to get in quick, so you might have to look for coupons on the internet at different formula websites and stuff. Or look for special sales or promotions with the formula companies.
