Sammie Bocanegra: it's too early for tricks - 8 weeks? just teach her to go out to go to the bathroom and let the tricks come much later. later on you can teach her tricks and I would be happy to tell you how elizabethkleinert@yahoo.comBe patient- if all you want from your dog is tricks, I think you have your priorities mixed up.Later on it's fun when she does tricks but give this 8 wk old puppy time to grow up a little
Mel Crapo: Yeah, you can teach puppies tricks from 6 weeks old. I taught my dogs simple tricks like sit and lay down by simply giving a verbal command, and rewarding them when doing so, after they had done it, so they started to associate the positive reinforcement with the trick. I also bought the book 101 Dog Tricks by Kyra Sundance and her dog Chalcy. This book uses step by step instructions complete with images for every trick, and often more than 1 way of doing it. It categorises tricks and also shows you ways to make your dogs more helpful a! round the house. Labradors can lead blind people over busy roads, so I highly recommend getting this book, as it will make your life, and your dogs life so much nicer.http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1592533256/ref=asc_df_1......Show more
Emerita Sciandra: Yes you can teach him or her how to sit by pushing the butt down and saying good boy and handing him a treat and keep doing it over and over until all you have to say is sit. Make sure you have a stern voice. Also you can teach him to lay down and kinda do the thing wit sitting first then bring the treat down so that the dog is laying down and then say good boy and give him the treat. Stay is easy just get the dog to sit then say stay and if he walks towards you back him up and say stay. You can look on youtube for more visual learning...Show more
