Josefine Weekey: I have been to st. thomas 4 times in the past 4 years. i don't rarely see anyone driving a jeep except for those who are tourists and think their going to need one.unless you want to go high up in the mountains and tour around there, you dont really need one.the majority of the locals there drive small cars and scooters.you should be fine with a regular car.have fun!

Kenneth Thuesen: oh yeah! youll be fine! the only places you would need a jeep are places you dont need ta go! people rent jeeps ta have more of that island feel ad so they have something with out a top! youll be fine with out one! have fun!
Melissa Lavallie: You will be just fine renting a small car on this Island; however, you need to be aware that there are parking problems downtown Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook. It can cost you a quick $250 if you choose to park where parking is a at a premium. For the first day or two you may want to consider riding! the "Safari" which costs $2.00 from CA to RH. It is a great way to get around and see how the locals live. It doesn't go to the Airport; but K-Mart and the local grocery stores are on the route.
