Television corrupting children?

Chadwick Schmelz: TV is a business. To make a profit they must stand out from the rest. With declining viewers due to the internet and competing entertainment dollars it is in their interest to appeal to the lowest common denominator which is sex. Sadly issues that involve human kindnesses and pithy moral story lines have been put aside in favour of the visual stimulation which can override the human condition which we all share. The crass situations seen now cater to the non-english speaking Hispanic, Portuguese or the illiterate young and old alike looking for a common view of the world that they would like to share. It is up to you as her sister to offer that there is much to be said about this type of programming. Remember that the business is to make money and give what the viewers are demanding by watching this and buying the products seen on their commercials. Being seen as objects for use by others is not a good future for you or me....Show more

Autumn Vacio: ! Organized Satanists have always used the media to brainwash unsuspecting folk, by additions, subtractions, and modifications of what is presented to the public, who accept it as world view. Most notable historically, when Jesus told zealots too stop spitting into the faces of Roman Soldiers because it was getting entire towns crucified, the Satanists of the day carried it off into Greek (to make it smarter) and back into Aramaic, now reading "don't resist criminals".

Tom Romer: I don't think television corrupts young kids. In my opinion, I think things go south with kids if they don't have anyone parenting them by discussing what it is they are seeing on television. She is going to learn about kissing somewhere. If your parents are not giving her direction I think big sister should.

Len Dalba: Yes,fifty per cent.
