Vita Moodie: If it's warranty work yes. You do not need to go to dealer for oil changes, tire rotation, new brakes and such. Any work that is normal maintenance, you can go to any good repair place or do it yourself. Unless the normal maintenance is part of dealers program.
Everette Rovinsky: It depends on you but there are some things that you can do by yourself like radiator flushing. Doing it by yourself will help you save money. But if you need major repairs better take it to them because they are already experts and that's the reason why taking your car to you dealership for maintenance is expensive.
James Langmyer: I would take it to the dealership IF it's under warranty. After the warranty, you could take it anywhere you'd like. It's a good idea to keep all of the receipts in a file folder.
Byron Fortmann: take it anyplace u wantthew cost the most because they have best parts and most knowledge AND highest overhead
Ricardo Rozelle: No you ! don't have to go to the dealer but if your car is under warranty be sure to keep all your maintenance records just in case something major should happen
