Darcie Peraha: chances are your amp is less than 600watts. I wouldn't worry about a Cap or the dynamat or super nifty wires. chances are you can get a coil of about 5m 16/14 guage wire for about $4 USD. this will work for your remote and for the speakers as well as amp to subs. the power and ground you should use either 8 or 10 guage, but use the 8. also the RCA's are easy to find. at the walmart here you can get complete wire kits for $35 USD. if you really want sound matting/dampening use carpet padding, it is about 1/4th the price and 10 times easier to find and the 1/4in-1/8in stuff should be adequate. as for the speakers 3 ways will provide good quality and 5x7's are typicly better than regular 5.25 or 6's. I have 93 jeep Cherokee and it only has two pioneer 4.5's, a alpine 500w amp, and one 10in JL sub and it kicks pretty good....Show more
Ricky Frazer: Just a tip...the guy at my local stereo shop and others i have talked to have advised me against Focal's bec! ause even though they are great speakers, the sound tends to deteriorate after 3 months-1 year. Look for other opinions though. Personally I would say the alpine type X speakers sound awesome and have alpine's reputation for reliability behind them...but I may just be saying this because I use alpine everything for speakers/head units (and it sounds better than all my friend's cars)...Show more
Toya Braskett: No. Mines better.
Romeo Tinnea: Two things I would change out would be the Focal polyglass speakers and the Focal solid 4 amp... I had a set of the 165 vrs and they sounded great for about a month, but then I had problems with the sound going flat, and the woofers splitting at the seams... What I would suggest is to use two alpine class D amps.. a 4 channel for the sorounds and a mono for the subs, and doing JL Audio C5 components up front and JL C5 full range on the rear... WoofersETC (dot) com has all the mentioned items and ships overseas, and for the ! speakers, you're around 850 USD and the amps about 900USD, the! n adding Hushmat ( little cheaper than Dynamat) cap and wiring, would still keep you around the 2,400 USD mark or a little under that....Show more
